What Did Omar Say?

On Saturday, Photojournalist Mike Kirchman was setting up our live shot, dragging cables across the street.

Then, a car passed over them, and this happened:

Cut. Snapped.

Our picture faded to black. We were one minute and 30 seconds to our shot.

Mike hustled, grabbed a new cable, plugged in and pulled it, and BOOM! We were live.

I’d never seen that happen, and I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often.
